Andrew's Bliss??

Andrew wasn't quite as thrilled with his Easter bunny gifts as Gabe was but he sure liked this cake made from scratch, oh I mean bought at Hy-Vee....

The Easter Bunny got a pirate ship for Gabe and he was one happy boy! Absolutely loves it!

Easter Baskets.....

Sharing a room...

The boys are still doing great with room sharing. Tonight Aaron made Andrew's crib into a "toddler bed" so we are 1 step closer to being done with a crib! Yay!

Since Andrew is constantly climbing in and out of the crib it was time to get an easier way out. His legs are bruised and he has petechiae all over the inside of his thighs from the climbing.

I Love My Kids!

Andrew woke up before Gabe this afternoon and was playing by himself. I had to come check on him when it was a little too quiet.... This is what I found. He was playing on the shelf!

Monster Jams was on the regular non-cable TV today and they LOVED it! Sat by each other and soaked it all in... Then they had to get ALL the monster trucks out. I am in love with this picture!

Reading and being silly tonight. Gabe calls Aaron out when he "misses" some of the pages in the book.

until I convinced him to OPEN his eyes!

The latest news from Iowa is that we moved Andrew's crib into Gabe's room on Friday night. So they now officially "share" a bedroom and so far they love it.... They have been sleeping good and it seems to have strengthened their brother bond in a short period of time. The first thing Gabe did is teach Andrew how to climb out of his crib (bummer for us)... And as a matter of fact it is 10:10 right now and they are both still awake, so maybe the plan is backfiring on me as I write! I hope not....

Andrew with his new haircut wanted yogurt and pepperoni for supper. We get spoiled by one of my customers with pepperoni and salami from Liguria Foods.... It doesn't last long around here!

Time for a trim...

Our fantastic hairdresser Linda attempted Andrew's hair for the 2nd time. THIS time I used Jill & Craig's trick (thanks!) of giving the little one a sucker. He sat perfectly nice and let Linda trim away and even use the clippers without a problem!

I love the squished sideways tongue in this picture. What a goof!

And OF COURSE Gabe had to have a sucker too, "so I don't fweak out mommy".

When all was said and done I had two well trimmed boys and Linda and I got the giggles because Andrew looked SO grown up...

My work pal Jan (left) had a surprise 60th birthday party last night in Algona. It was a good time and a lot of people.... these are the only 3 I knew there! L to R, Jan, me, Mary, Mary Ann.

Home & Away

We have all been healthy for a week or so and have been enjoying the "normal" life.... Cuddling...

riding horse....

and travleing to Watertown, SD to meet up with Kristi & Sydney.

Our hotel had a great pool and we went to a place called KidZone. It was like a gigantic McDonald's play place with games and pizza.

The kids had a great time being crazy..

Andrew was so funny at the pool. He happily sported a mohawk and walked around with his swim trunks falling down.

Gabe and I were goofing around with orange hats that Andrew gave us...

And Gabe got his first ribbon at tumbling for doing really great crab-walks on Monday!
