Nigh-night

Gabe was cuddling with his kitties and blanky... And imitating his grandmas & grandpas with his snoring skills....

Mommy Look!

Lately Gabe has been wanting us to "look" or "watch" what he's doing. I was pulled out of the bathroom today to see this....

He had all his dump trucks and most of his big tractors lined up just like this. I told him to smile (I say 'show me your teeth') and he posed perfectly. Enjoy!

In response...

Well all this business about Gabe missing Uncle Jon got Uncle Mike a little worried. So.... uncle Mike drove the 6 hour drive all alone to reclaim his spot as favorite uncle....

And if you don't believe me.... take it from Gabe:

20 weeks

Excuse my weird facial expression.... this is the best 20 week shot we got last night! I've had a bad cold so blame the look on my face on my illness....

Happy Valentine's Day!

Gabe had a good v-day at home with his dad while I worked. They went walking in the woods shooting bow and then came and visited us at the pharmacy. Then Aaron cooked supper for us and made me eat outside in the atrium. It was fun... even tho it was about 40 degrees. I did have a heater blowing on me so I can't complain. Filet mignon and grilled green beans were on the menu. Since Gabe won't eat either of these he had a pop tart and some tortilla chips.

More birthday presents

Gabe got another package in the mail yesterday from Grandma Gena -- he had a great time opening more presents!

He is always the most excited about a new car!

And happy to get some more M&M's....

Here he says "Open, Mommy" over and over until the car is open.

Healthy as a horse, smart as a whip

Gabe had his 2 year old check-up today with Dr. Votta. He behaved better than ever at the doctor (he even stood on the scale by himself - miracle!) and got an excellent report.

Here are the stats:

Weight: 32 pounds (90%)
Height: 38 inches (97%)
Head: 20 inches (95%)

Dr. Votta said he is doing great and doesn't have to go back until he's 3 years old. He told us to be sure to lock up all our guns and knives (Do you hear that Aaron????) so that Gabe can't hurt himself..... I just want to know how Dr. Votta knew that we had an arsenal in the closet?

Happy Happy Birthday!

We had seven guests for Gabe's birthday! They drove all the way from Minnesota for the celebration.

Early in the day Aaron and his brothers Jon & Dan went for a run around the neighborhood. It was the first nice day we've had in months!

Gabe got a few opportunities to blow out his candle.

A little bit of competition is always in order when you get the Flatau's together. Wii Ski-jump was being contested in this photo.

Poor Gabe got tortured with a haircut on his birthday. It looks a lot better but there are a few spots that need to be touched up (the back still resembles a mullet).

After the haircut - showing me his teeth!

Eating one of the many cakes he had

Opening presents -- this one is a Buck Knife! Gabe said "dangerous" and put the knife down.

He was so excited for the Bob the Builder carrying case...

and was even more excited when he opened it up to find 2 cars inside!
