T.P.

This video needs no explaining.

Rommegrot

One of my customers made some rommegrot and brought it to me at work. It was so good, just like my grandma Johnson's.

Christmastime!

Our first attempt at a Christmas picture. This was the best result...

Second attempt results were much better!

some craziness too...

Opening presents on Christmas Eve.

Andrew had a great time opening presents. His favorite part was watching Gabe open them and then trying to take what Gabe had....

Gabe and Iron Man. This Iron Man talks.... and lets just say that Andrew got hold of it in church Christmas morning.... Oh well, one more thing for the parishioners to laugh about!

Andrew and I were EXHAUSTED after we opened presents on Christmas Eve.

Andrew enjoyed his Jelly Belly beans from Santa. Then he dumped them all over the floor!

Christmas supper... Andrew once again impressed me with his spoon skills.

.... and once again Gabe had to be forced to eat through bribery and coercion!

We had a great Christmas spent at home! The boys will go up to the farm now for a few days and Aaron and I will enjoy some much needed down time!

Christmas Program

Gabe had a Christmas Program at pre-school. Here are a few shots from the event.

Gabe and Hudsen.... I'm so proud!

Gabe with his teacher Barb.

BFF's Gabe & Hudsen.

Andrew before Christmas

That sure is an interesting way to sleep!

Look what came in the mail!

MMMMMMM, doughnuts!

Stitches!

On December 23rd Gabe took a tumble off of Andrew's high chair. His cheek connected with the corner of the kitchen table resulting in a half-inch long gash. After a brief assessment (including a brief discussion about not putting a bleeding child on our new carpet) we concluded he needed stitches, so off to the Humboldt ER we went! The only 2 things he asked for were his kitty and a hug from Andrew (cute)!

This is a picture I took with my cell phone when we got to the ER.

Right after we got home. There are 3 stitches under the band-aid.

Christmas Eve morning...

He was upset that he couldn't blink. "My eye won't blink mommy, I want it to blink!"

Christmas Day....

Opening presents from Santa.

He has to have the stitches in for 10 days total. He doesn't seem to be bothered by the stitches and has been leaving them alone. He can tell the story really well about what happened!

He told me after we left the ER that it only hurt a little bit and that it made him nervous when the bed moved (up/down). He got to watch TV at the ER and that made him happy. The movie "Home Alone" was on and he thought that was really funny. He was MAD when they did the stitches because he couldn't see the movie and the light was too bright in his eyes.

one of my favorite things....

..... is listening to Gabe talk. He has always had a fun/funny way of talking. It seems almost like his own special accent. But lately he says this when he is trying to convey that he wants a LOT of something...

Windows & A Tree

Gabe is posing by his new window in his bedroom.

We had a very busy weekend finishing the painting and putting the rooms back together.

Our bedroom. The window wells are about 8 feet deep? There are steps like a ladder to get out and a cover over the hole that you just push up in case you need to get out.

We put up our tree tonight and hung our stockings!

Little Painter

Gma Mitzi sent an art project for Gabe to paint. He had a great time painting it and it turned out pretty good! I should have taken a pic of the finished product!

WILD boys

I didn't go to church with the boys this morning and it is a good thing because they were W-I-L-D!

This first picture of Andrew looks innocent enough.... but he has some tricks up his sleeve.

Jumping from the ottoman to the couch. Yes, jumping. With abnormal platelets.

After the jump, all smiles!

And this is who Andrew learned it from:

Another action shot.

I've got video, too. It just takes too stinkin' long to upload it. Maybe sometime I'll do it.

Andrew

Andrew has been busy making music,

reading books,

being a cutie pie,

and hugging Rowdy (he just adores this dog)!

Gabe

Gabe has been enjoying this Leap Frog thing that Sydney handed down.

And, his favorite past-time, being silly!

Thanksgiving Day

We had a wonderfully quiet Thanksgiving. Just the 4 of us at home. Aaron had church services at Trinity, Deer Creek and when he got home we made lunch.

Since nothing about our lives seems traditional we decided to stick with that theme and made fettuccine alfredo for our Thanksgiving dinner. Above Andrew enjoys some after he woke up from his nap.

Why pasta and not turkey? Aaron and I had a conversation a few weeks before Thanksgiving where we both agreed we didn't like turkey all that much. But one thing all 4 of us agree on is pasta. The boys love it and so pasta it was.

But before the day even got started, Andrew insisted on pumpkin pie for breakfast. He doesn't say many words but he made it very clear that the fruit loops were NOT what he had in mind Thanksgiving morning.

The night before Thanksgiving we read a turkey book in Gabe's bed.
