Our Sick Kitty

We noticed a few weeks ago that Cora had stopped jumping on the couch, table, etc.  Then we noticed she would only sit sideways, not on her butt. Then she stopped walking around much at all and started kind of hiding.

I finally got her to the vet this week and doc diagnosed her with an aortic thromboembolism.  Basically a blood clot from her heart that lodged by her back legs cutting off blood flow to that area of her body.

She was essentially becoming paralyzed and was in a LOT of pain. Doc told me that cats do not exhibit signs of pain until it is severe and she would cry out from standing up or anytime we touched her.

He started her on aspirin and we gave her morphine shots!  We were not too optimistic about her recovery but she started to improve Wed evening and is doing ok.  We are not giving morphine anymore and her mobility is better....

So we just continue to keep an eye on her.

P.s. doc has been practicing since 1976 and thinks he has maybe see. This once before!

It's BLOG official

Baby #3 is on the way!  Estimated date of arrival is around November 22, 2013.  I'm thinking the 12th of Nov. would be nice.  You know, 11/12/13.

As those of you who have known since the beginning this has been TOUGH for me.  Things are much much much better now.  But WOW.  Holy smokes weeks 6-10 were hard.  So super hard.

So thankful to God for carrying me through, Aaron for carrying our family through, my doctor's nurse for recognizing some signs of serious depression, citalopram dose increases for working to pull me out, ondansetron for helping with the nausea, my awesome co-workers for being supportive and putting up with me & my issues.  Phew!

Enough of that.  On to the fun stuff!  Here are some comparison pics with each pregnancy.  You can see clearly how much bigger you get earlier with each subsequent pregnancy!

Gabe is in there, 19 weeks.

Andrew is in there, 17 weeks.

Baby #3 is in there, 13 weeks!!  Gulp!

Thanks Auntie Emily and Uncle Rob

The boys got an AWESOME package in the mail all the way from Alaska.  Em and Rob have been busy crafting and creating capes, headbands (feathers), and hammers.

We have only had one minor injury with the hammer (don't worry they are soft hammers) in spite of their extensive use.  Our trees and driveway are standing up well to the constant beatings they take.

Crazy Kids.... Well Andrew Mostly

Last night getting ready for bed....

It WAS warm

I was soaking up the heat with my furry friends last Sunday. Notice Sadie in the background of the one of me and Jimi.
