Little Man... and Cozy PJ's

Well these aren't PJ's, it's just a cute picture of Gabe dressed up like a little man. Yea, a little man holding 2 kitties!

He though Aaron's headlamp was so cool! Aaron was getting ready to go for a run and Gabe was getting ready to go to bed.

I was chasing Gabriel around with my camera and he was putting on a show. I put these warm fuzzy PJ's on him that Grandma Gena bought. It is a little chilly in our house so he had an undershirt on too!

Even though it looks like he's walking forward he was actually walking backwards. A skill that he finds amusing. I think it looks like he's running and it makes me think of that song from Chariots of Fire...

Giggling when I caught up to him....

Giving me the sign for PEACE OUT!

Good-bye..

... to my dear friend Mike Marecek. He will be sorely missed by many! I will be traveling to St. Louis on Thursday for his funeral and to be with my extended family from St. Mary's Health Center. He is pictured here with his adorable wife Ginger and their dogs Oscar and Lily Rose.

Burst of Energy

Gabe had a LONG burst of energy tonight! He ran up and down the hallway about 50 times with this little truck.....

A rare quiet moment

On his own free will Gabe curled up next to me and asked me to read him a book today when I got home from work!

It was a great quiet, still moment with a boy who is always on the go!

I'm a lucky girl....

.... because I live with Robin Hood .... except he doesn't steal from the rich (that I know of).

Grandma & Grandpa visit...

... but I didn't take any pictures! I don't know what I was thinking but here are a few good ones that Aaron took the last night they were here. Actually they are both of my dad and Gabe... sorry Grandma that we didn't get any of you & Gabe.

"I wanna be just like grandpa"

Gunnar!!!

I was SO happy to finally meet Gunnar! Gabe and I have been watching him grow up on his blog but it was so much better to see him in real life!

Gabe & Gunnar played together and I had a chance to catch up with Gunnar's mom Heather.

I don't think Gunnar was quite as into this as I was -- but I just HAD to hold him at least once -- he's a solid little fella!

Goin' nuts with the balloons.

Both boys crashing to the ground from too much helium (J/K).
Thanks Gunnar & Heather for coming to visit us -- it was a blessing to see you both! Love you lots....

Cousins

Gabe & Syd having a drink before bed when we were in Minot...

Gabe's first soccer game

While in Minot we attended one of Sydney's soccer games. Gabe was good and had fun running around.

SO excited for soccer!

Sydney running to the sidelines

Gabe gets a great hug from Syd

Note the arrows indicating Gabe trying to join Syd on the field -- and Sydney completely ignoring the game and watching Gabriel.....

Pele, I mean Sydney, kicking the ball in.

Family in Minot

Gabe, Aaron and I drove to Minot on Sept. 10th to surprise my parents for their 40th wedding anniversary. It worked, they were surprised!!

Here are a few family photos from the day...

Everyone except Linda & Jim -- it's amazing we got that good of a picture of Gabriel -- he wasn't interested in getting his picture taken!

Wild Time

One of Gabe's favorite times of day is wild time with his dad. They do a lot of growling, screaming, chasing, tickling and the like.....

Gabe & Kate on a coffee break

Gabe and I met some friends for coffee this morning... He and Kate had fun playing on the steps together.

And of course Gabe loved playing legos.
