The goings on.

Things have been running smoothly around here... We've pretty well got Gabe figured out and he seems quite tolerant of us!

We are eagerly awaiting call day and the good news it will bring! Don't forget to listen in over the internet one week from today. See Concordia's web site for instructions (see a previous post).

We are also looking forward to meeting little Claire for the first time when she comes with her mom & dad, Katie & Matt, from Arkansas for call day!

Enjoy the pictures of Gabe.....

This is how cool Gabe looks when he goes running with his mom!

What's a Razorback? My t-shirt is scary...

Even though you can't see it, I'm wearing an NDSU t-shirt.... That's my fav. school!

Here Gabe is working on strengthening his neck muscles! For wrestling grandpa Flatau....

Look at my t-shirt - I want to be just like grandpa Schaefer...

My Easter outfit... I look great in sweater-vests!

Why does my mom look SO tired??

Big Accomplishment.....

After all these years it turns out my sister is the smartest person in the family.

She deserves recognition for passing ALL of her comps for her PhD program on her FIRST try with NO rewrites or corrections.
She is now considered ABD - All But Dissertation. Yup, that means very soon she will be done with her PhD (no small feat while raising a very young kid). Then we can call her doctor... Heaven knows she's earned it!

What? Something in our life is going on other than Gabriel????

Concordia Seminary Call Day - April 25, 2007

The following is taken from Concordia's website (www.csl.edu):
"During a 7:00 p.m. worship service, approximately 168 candidates for the pastoral ministry will receive their first calls to serve as pastors, missionaries and chaplains in the LCMS. Rev. Kenneth Hennings, president of the Texas District of the LCMS, will serve as preacher. Both services will be held in the Seminary’s Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus.

Those unable to attend the April 25 services will be able to view a webcast of the services from the Seminary’s Web site. Both audio and video will be available. For more information, visit the Call Day 2007.

The vicarages and calls will be posted on the Call Day 2007 page on April 25 at 9:00 p.m. (CST). Lists also will be e-mailed at the same time via the Seminary’s e-mail list services, CSLNEWS and CSLPRESEM. Those who desire to subscribe to CSLNEWS prior to the April 25 services in order to receive the lists may do so on the Subscribe page or may contact Rev. Thomas at thomasg@csl.edu. A complete listing also will be featured in the summer 2007 issue of FOCUS. Audio recordings of the sermons for both services will be available for listening on the Seminary’s Web site within 24 hours. "

Aaron will be receiving his first call in twenty days! We have been anticipating this time just about as long as I've known Aaron. It is hard to believe it's almost here! We hope you will all listen to the service over the internet (see above) - and you can be assured we WILL be posting information about our first call!!!

Gabe & his Grandmas.....

Over the past few weeks Gabriel has had a few very special visitors! The week I went back to work his Grandma Di Ann came and stayed for a whole week! It was super fun to have his Grandma Schaefer here - she took great care of Gabe and it was a joy to have her visit. We wish she could live MUCH closer....

Then Gabriel was lucky enough to have his Grandma Mitzi and Great Auntie Nancy visit. They had a great time with Gabe and also took fantastic care of him (he got to stay home from daycare!)... He misses trying on all his shoes and hats with them! Of course we wish they too could live MUCH closer.

Can you tell I like my boy?

We like this picture because he looks so different from when he was born!

It itches when my dad kisses me with a hairy beard!

Look past my red eyes and you'll see how cute I am!
