Our girl ran away again. This time because Aaron and the boys were shooting off rockets. She went south this time (was east and north before) into Dakota City and found a family that loved her. They asked her to spend the night and she even got to sleep in bed with them (gasp)!
She did come home the next day, as they didn't ask to keep her. She and I had a cuddle session that night.

Good Report!
We had our first parent-teacher conferences and had all good news for Gabe! He got to pick out a treat when we went to the store afterwards. He picked two HUGE chocolate bars. My kind of kid. Love him so much!
2nd tooth gone!
On Thursday the 25th of October Gabe lost his 2nd tooth. His teacher had to pull it out because he couldn't eat his snack. It was hanging sideways and bleeding whenever he took a bite.
The night before that him & Andrew had bonked heads and Gabe's tooth bled a bit. Well he lost his mind crying, etc. then fell asleep with the napkin in his mouth! Silly kid. I don't think his future is dentistry....

First Tooth GONE!
Gabe lost his first tooth on October 3rd when he was over at Hudsen's house. It was a pretty big deal and Gabe was excited!
He put his tooth in the special pillow mom made him... to wait for the tooth fairy.
The tooth fairy brought him 2 bucks and let him keep his tooth! She wrote him a special note about keeping his tooth safe and not losing it.
Our New Shed
We are pretty pumped to get our new shed up and running! We are still waiting on concrete, electrical, and an overhead door then we can store all of our toys under lock and key!
Lately...
Andrew got this huge lump on his head from dancing in the hallway and running into the door frame. Oops.
Andrew got a new firetruck at Ben Franklin in Eagle Grove.
Gabe picked out some power ranger legos at Target. Or maybe they are Ninjago. I don't know the difference.
"I work out"
We've gotten some fun packages in the mail, complete with funny glasses!
Eggs in the Hole
Aaron makes a mean "egg-in-the-hole".
He made them for us a few weeks ago on his fancy new lefse griddle. They were delish! Although Gabe wouldn't eat the part with eggs in it. Sigh.
Yummers!
More Summer
I found some more summer pictures!
Swinging at the farm with our cousins (minus Tommy) and auntie Nancy
Representing with the Flatau "F"
Mad skills on the monkey bars
This display was in the lawn of our friends for about a week this summer. Pretty sad and humbling.
Tubin' with my big boy.
Fishing with the boys
More Mayo Pics
I found some more pictures of our Mayo Clinic visit that were on Aaron's iPhone.
Enjoying the view from the 16th floor of the Gonda Building.
Had to take a picture after Andrew rocked his nephrology appointment on 19east!
Taking a break for some ice cream at the DQ

Absence
I have not forgotten the blog.... I really want to post regularly... Life gets so busy sometimes.... I'll try to get some pictures up this week!
Nothing is new here as far as our lives go....
Gabe still loves school and riding the bus. He still plays with Hudsen all the time and some other friends... Brady, Coen, Alex. He LOVES to color and will make a bee-line for his coloring books, markers, crayons, pencils, and notebooks as soon as he gets home or when he wakes up in the morning. Lego's and watching TV (power rangers, avengers, americas funniest home videos, phineas and ferb are all favorites) are also activities he likes. Transformers are OK but not as fun as they used to be. Anytime mom will read to him is a good time. He has homework nearly every week night.
Andrew is as busy and emotional as ever! He loves attention from Gabe... except when he hates it. He likes to play cars and tractors and trains. He also loves to "write" in his notebooks with pencils and crayons. Stickers are pretty fun, too. He wants us to push him in his swing a lot... but we hardly every do :-(. Andrew loves any and all time with his momma and will beg me to read him books in the morning and before bed. He also lets me borrow his lunch box when I go to work. Andrew also loves "chachel" (Rachel) and going to her house every day. He loves his babysitter Kylie and his stuffed animal from 'Build-a-Bear', "Friendly". His FAVORITE thing to watch on TV is "funniest videos eva" (as he says it).
Aaron and I are well. Nothing new; busy with work. We lost a friend, supporter, and church member this weekend as Harold Grebe passed away. We will both miss him and his support to our church and family. Not to mention the kindness and love and appreciation Harold always showered on us. It is a BIG loss for our church and we are sad. Harold's funeral will be Wednesday and thankfully I have the day off so I will be able to go. It will be the first funeral I have gone to in our church here! We were asked to bring a salad for the lunch and we are happy to contribute. Aaron will assist in the service with pastor Raether.
