We went to Target tonight looking for "Shocker" and they had only 2 trucks left and the whole display was empty! Apparently Gabe isn't the only little one that loves the monster trucks.


He still likes Mcqueen and watching the movie Cars but his McQueen toys have taken a back seat to the monster trucks. :(

Gabe is making progress on becoming potty trained. I would guess (hope) that within the next month he should have it down.

FINISHED!!!!!!

Andrew is happy to report that the weird room is finished! And it isn't weird anymore... It's just cozy, warm, and nice!

We decided to make it our office/den. Also Andrew's crib will be in here until he is big enough to move into the bunk bed with Gabe.

The old office will now become a playroom.

We LOVE the new carpet and are going to pony up the rest of the money to finish the other 3 bedrooms with the new carpet.

Getting closer....

The weird room is much closer to being done! Trim is up and they will come to install carpet either tomorrow or Thursday.

I was trying to get a pic of the skylights to show how Rick trimmed around the windows.

We are not done painting in Gabe's room but this is the color.

Since this is my blog I get to post whatever I want and I choose to post this. It's my new necklace for my birthday from Aaron. And I helped fund it with the money mom and dad sent me. I love it!

Weekend

Just some random pics from our weekend. It was a busy one for me working both days and Gabe starting Sunday School and a Valentines banquet at church on Sunday.

First Day of Sunday School!

Gabe had his first day of Sunday School yesterday, February 14, 2009! Kids can start Sunday School when they are 3 years old at our church. He did OK - the hardest thing for him was not being able to have his own toy with him. His teacher said next week he can bring a toy to show his friends and then they will put it on the shelf and he can have it back when Sunday School is done.
His baptismal birthday is coming up in a few days. He was baptized on February 18, 2007.

Gabe's Room [disaster area]

We finally took down Gabe's Christmas tree last night because I got him a Lightening McQueen stop light. We set up the light and his Radiator Springs GeoTrax set on his train table.

Andrew happy as always to be playing with brother's toys.

Update on the room

I was standing in the doorway of the laundry room. These are the doorways into the weird room (left), and Gabe's room (right).

A view of how Gabe's doorway was moved in and framed. Also note on the right no more sliding glass door that leads to nowhere.

The walls are primed with tinted primer. The ceiling is painted. The color we chose for the walls is Sherwin Williams "Aloof Gray". One shade up from what Craig & Jill have in their hallway "sensible hue".

Super Tired

At about 6:30 last night Gabe was begging for his pajamas (WEIRD) so I obliged. He played for a while then we turned on the TV and found Curious George. I then went and messed around on the internet for a while and came back to find Gabe totally crashed in the recliner.

It was classic Gabe: 2 Kitties, his "football" blankie, footie jammies, sleeping in the recliner like he used to do at Nancy's.




This picture is how I actually found him and then he flipped around like in the picture above.

Aaron got home from teaching confirmation at about 9 and we debated trying to move Gabe for fear of waking him. We decided to give it a try and he didn't even stir. We figure he slept about 13 hours last night.

Pee!

Gabe did it! He tinkled in his potty chair for the first time tonight. We had to HEAVILY bribe him with a new car....

Here he is with the new car. It is a N20 Cola race car from the movie Cars.

He was super excited that he went potty!

I have a feeling this is going to get expensive if we have to bribe him with a $4 toy every time he tinkles.
